Director of Financial Workshop Initiatives, National Endowment for Financial Education
Mary is the director of Financial Workshop Initiatives at the Denver-based National Endowment for Financial Education. Her work allows her to teach financial education to adult educators, workforce professionals and diverse groups. She serves as a commissioner for the Denver Asian American Pacific Islander Commission and the Aurora Asian Partnership. In addition, she writes for Asian Avenue Magazine, Hospitality 21, Front Range Edible. Aurora Inside, Beacon Point, Women's Magazine and has created her own blog about the Philippines called Jeneverre's Travels. Her hobbies include reading historical fiction from Asian and Asian American authors, brew crawls and cooking Filipino cuisines. She is the mother of three children, Jessalyn (29); Lily (28); Joey (13). She loves to travel all over the world with her husband, Frank. Her recent travels have taken her to Cuba, Vietnam and Ireland. She earned a master's from Regis University on nonprofit management and a bachelor's on Communications from Cal State Fullerton.
